About
I currently serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at Yazd University, contributing to the Atomic and Molecular Physics group. My scientific endeavors are centered on Optics, Lasers, and Spectroscopy, with specialized interests in applied nonlinear optics, molecular physics, laboratory astrophysics, and the diverse applications of lasers in life and sciences.
My academic journey includes a Ph.D. from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) and Leiden University, where I was a guest researcher and doctoral candidate. My dissertation, "Cavity Ring-Down Laser Spectroscopy of Carbon-Chain Molecules," explored the high-resolution spectroscopic characterization of carbon-based molecules. This research, supervised by Prof. Wim Ubachs (VU Amsterdam), Prof. Harrold Linnartz (Leiden University), and Dr. Dongfeng Zhao, aimed to bridge laboratory findings with astronomical observations, particularly concerning diffuse interstellar bands.
Before my doctoral studies, I completed my M.Sc. in Atomic and Molecular Physics at Yazd University. My Master's thesis involved an experimental investigation into the selective multiphoton absorption and multiphoton dissociation of polyatomic molecular isotopologues using a high-power pulsed gas laser. This research was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Abbas Behjat and with the advisement of Eng. Kaveh Silakhori.
